Our volunteers are the reason sessions run. In return we invest in you: free training, recognised qualifications and a genuine route into paid work.
Volunteer Academy
Training and qualifications, fully funded
Every volunteer joins our academy. You'll be supported by an experienced session lead from your first shift and never asked to work alone with participants.
- FA Level 1 coaching or equivalent, paid for by us
- Safeguarding and first aid certification
- Enhanced DBS check arranged and funded
- Travel and expenses covered for every session
- A written reference after three months
- Priority for paid sessional roles when they open
Roles
Where volunteers are needed
Assistant coach
Support weekly football and multi-sport sessions for ages 5–16.
Session helper
Set-up, registration, refreshments and welcoming new families.
Youth mentor
One-to-one support for a young person over a twelve-week block.
Employability buddy
Help with CVs, applications and interview practice.
Event volunteer
Family fun days, tournaments and community outreach stalls.
Admin & comms
Photography, social media and behind-the-scenes support.
